Karen Alcantara Studio (“we,” “us,” or “the Studio”) operates karenalcantara.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you purchase a painting, we collect only what is needed to fulfill your order:

• Name and shipping address
• Email address (for the order receipt and shipping updates)
• Order details (which piece, price, and any notes you provide)

Payment card details are entered directly on Stripe’s hosted checkout page and are never received or stored by the Studio. We only receive a confirmation from Stripe that your payment succeeded.

How we use your information

• To process and ship your order
• To send you a receipt and shipping confirmation
• To reply to any questions you send us about your order or the artwork
• To comply with tax and accounting obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not use your information for marketing unless you explicitly opt in to a mailing list (which we do not currently operate).

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the Studio:

• Stripe — payment processing. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — database and image hosting for the gallery.
• Vercel — web hosting and content delivery.
• Shipping carriers (e.g. USPS, UPS, FedEx) — to deliver your painting.

Cookies

The Site itself does not set analytics or advertising cookies. Stripe Checkout (opened on a Stripe-hosted page during payment) may set cookies required for fraud prevention. We do not use those cookies to track you across other websites.

Data retention

We keep order records for as long as required by tax and accounting laws (typically seven years). You can request a copy or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws like the GDPR (EU/UK) or CCPA (California) to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, email us at the address below.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this Privacy Policy we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on the home page for a reasonable period.
