Karen Alcantara Studio (“we,” “us,” or “the Studio”) operates karenalcantara.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Browsing the gallery requires no account and collects no personal information. When you inquire about a painting over WhatsApp or email, and if you go on to buy one, we collect only what is needed to arrange the sale and delivery:

• Your name and the contact details you reach us with
• Shipping address (only when arranging delivery)
• Which piece you’re interested in and any notes you share

We do not process payments on this Site. Price and payment are arranged directly with you, so no payment card details are ever entered on or received by this Site.

How we use your information

• To process and ship your order
• To send you a receipt and shipping confirmation
• To reply to any questions you send us about your order or the artwork
• To comply with tax and accounting obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not use your information for marketing unless you explicitly opt in to a mailing list (which we do not currently operate).

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the Studio:

• Supabase — database and image hosting for the gallery.
• Vercel — web hosting and content delivery.
• WhatsApp / your email provider — only if you choose to contact us through them.
• Shipping carriers (e.g. USPS, UPS, FedEx) — to deliver your painting.

Cookies

The public Site sets no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. (The studio admin area uses a login cookie, but that applies only to the artist, not to visitors.)

Data retention

We keep order records for as long as required by tax and accounting laws (typically seven years). You can request a copy or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws like the GDPR (EU/UK) or CCPA (California) to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, email us at the address below.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this Privacy Policy we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on the home page for a reasonable period.
