Shipping & Returns

Processing time
Paintings are hand-packed from the studio in Florida within 3 to 5 business days after your order is placed. If a piece requires additional drying or framing time you will hear from us directly with an updated estimate.
Shipping within the United States
Shipping is free for all orders within the United States. The price shown on each painting already includes shipping — there is no separate shipping charge at checkout. Domestic orders ship via USPS with tracking and carrier insurance included, and typically arrive 3 to 7 business days after the package leaves the studio.
International shipping
We ship internationally by request. If you are outside the United States, please email us before ordering so we can confirm a rate, lead time, and customs paperwork for your country. International buyers are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs fees assessed by the destination country.
Packaging
Every painting is wrapped in acid-free glassine, protected with corner guards and a rigid sleeve, and double-boxed. Larger pieces ship in custom corrugated crates.
All sales are final
Every painting on the Site is an original, one-of-a-kind work. Because of this, all sales are final. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds — including for reasons such as a change of heart, a color that looks different in your room’s lighting, or because the piece is smaller or larger than you imagined once hung. Full dimensions and high-resolution photographs are provided on every product page; please review them carefully before ordering.
Damage in transit
If your painting arrives damaged, please photograph the box and the painting before unpacking further and email us within 7 days of delivery at karen@karenalcantara.com. All shipments are insured by the carrier. We will work with you directly to file a carrier insurance claim for the damage. Any compensation in that scenario is issued by the shipping carrier under its insurance policy, not by the Studio.
Non-delivery
In the very rare case that we are unable to deliver an ordered piece (for example, if the same piece was sold through another channel moments before your order was placed), your order will be cancelled and your payment released through Stripe. This is the only circumstance in which funds are returned, and it applies only when the Studio cannot fulfill the order.
